Hi There!
A while ago I read some posts regarding issues with Z series including the Z1 series which related to problems with the touchpad, and secondly and more importantly (for me at least) a problem where keypresses (single) were resulting in multiple outputs (So typing hello would result in heello or hhello). There was even a patch someone created to stop it from happening.
Is anyone able to tell me if Sony ever acknowledged the problems officially and link me to the fix or any information about it please?
Regards

Hi There!
How can I rename the thread? Thanks. -
) button to the left of the post and ask a moderator to change the title for you. What would you like to change it to?

Which Vaio Z1 do you have?
There was an issue with the old VGN-Z1, which is documented here:
http://forum.notebookreview.com/sony/306453-sony-vaio-z-sticky-squeaky-keys-doubled-type.html
It looks like it was never solved, but someone wrote a workaround, which you can see on page#17 of the thread. The links are dead now, but there may be someone around who has a copy.
Note I've never heard of this problem with the newer VPC-Z1. (And having owned one for over a year, I've never had the problem myself) -

(FYI, I was suggesting abandoning this thread and starting a new one with a more descriptive title. I didn't know mods would be quick to accommodate a new title. Thanks.)
EDIT: Thanks for changing the title.Hope it helps the OP get more helpful responses.
