I just bought a Z116GX/S and I'm considering swapping the optical drive with a hard drive. I found this:

I contacted them, and apparently it should be compatible with the new Z.
Does anyone here have experience with this caddy?

Good find. I might use this.

that's for the old Z, the faceplate is different, not sure if it'll give it a good fit, the lenovo adapter seems to better fit

Too bad they don't show the bezel or how it attaches. If it matches and uses the DVD bracket, this would be a good option.

The bezel on my BluRay is removable, but is fitted. I don't recall any screws other than the metal mounting kit that hold it in place. I think it just snaps in/on.

You cannot swap the bezel on the Lenovo adapter.

Just uploaded some new pics of the drive with the bezel removed. It's really easy to remove. There is an eject button and LED under there too.
