I have Z11 with 1600x900 screen and I'm getting sick and tired from it :)

For starters, gamma was too low, I had to calibrate it using standard Display Calibrator in windows (not that i pretend i have a perfect color perception though) to get more details on shady pictures.

After that it was almost perfect, but color saturation was too high. It can be easily tuned using intel vcard control panel, but I've noticed slight flickering in gray color areas (only when using intel vcard), so I decided to switch to Nvidia card for text editing. But I can't reduce color intensity using Nvidia control panel! Digital vibrance is set to zero by default and can not be negative (at least in current drivers).

It there any way to overcome this problem? Am I the only one noticing? Every time I fire up my text editor, syntax highlighting is more like "Fear and loathing in Las Vegas", even page links on this forum are too purple.

P.S. It's not caused by increased gamma, I noticed it long before.

    Any help is much appreciated.

I haven't noticed any problem. I don't do any photography work on mine but it definitely doesn't look like Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. :)

Maybe you can start by undoing whatever calibration you initially did. I'm guessing you got the colors all messed up. Was it better before you started doing all that?

    Thank you for your reply.

No, it's definitely not the calibration. In the fact, color profile is not applied automatically after sleep or hibernation for some reason, so I have a very good understanding what the colors are without it.

Maybe I exaggerated just a little bit, but do you remember the default XP wallpaper? I just googled it and the grass on the picture does not look like grass to me, it's more like tiberium field from Command&Conquer.

Colors seem a bit rich, yet photos look better to me. My MBP does not seem to have enough display color compared to the Z.
