Got my Z12 from Best Buy today... They told me there is no docking station available for the Z12? The system is advertised and has a docking station connector so I cannot believe this is true but I also cannot find anything on Sonystyle...
Ordered a caddy from neomodus and a 750GB drive from newegg so give me plenty of storage and just need the docking station to complete my package.

It uses the one made for the Z11: VGP-PRZ10 | VAIO® Z110 Series Docking Station | Sony | Sony Style USA

It is not a real Docking Station it is only a port replicator. No HDMI connector, no audio connector, no dual monitor and max resolution only 1080p on this "Docking station".
Check the reviews here: VGP-PRZ10 | VAIO® Z110 Series Docking Station | Sony | Sony Style USA -
I have the PRZ10. Works for what I need it to do; hook up some USB devices and a 24" screen. It is pretty easy to use on a daily basis as well. I'd say I'm happy with it.
It comes with an AC adapter as well, but the main body is much larger than the stock one. If memory serves, you can use the docking station's AC adapter with the laptop itself, but can't use the stock adapter with the docking station. Not a huge problem since you should leave the docking AC adapter with the dock itself, but I had assumed they would be interchangable.
I have, however, lost the dock cap/cover/snap-in part on the laptop itself. There is a place to put this cover on the dock itself, but having a clip instead of a sliding cover like in previous models is dumb. Silly Sony. -

Check the product link for the specs, but I have it connected to a crappy 1980x1200 screen and it works fine.
-
Sorry, but I checked the link before and, like Enny02 said above, I've only seen other people mention the 1080p limit and nothing official from Sony. Have you got a more accurate link?

It is a port replicator as Enny02 mentioned, so it is limited by the laptop.
Check the laptop specs. I should have been more specific. -
Ah, gotcha. Cheers.
