This just started happening yesterday. I'm not sure what caused it. But the "VAIO SMART NETWORK" process repeatedly steals focus off my active and current window. Taking the cursor with it, and deactivating the current window, requiring me to manually click on it again. This happens literally every 15 seconds.
Does anyone know what this smart network tool is, and why I can disable it without issues? Its not even an active window that I can see. I just managed to figure out it was that "process" running which is stealing focus.
More importantly how to get it to stop doing this?
The touchpad on this laptop is a total pain in the *ss my hand constantly brushes against it while typing, bringing up other applications. At one point some combination of letters and my hand hitting the pad caused the Sony smart network Profile window to pop up. I just closed it out a few times, but ever since then, its been stealing focus, etc....
Any help much appreciated.

The only useful thing the VSN does is to provide a way to turn the Bluetooth on or off. (The green icon in the system tray with two arrows). If you don't change that setting often, change the setting as per your preference and then uninstall it.
There is a utility which disables the touchpad while you are typing. Just do a search - touchfreeze. -
This is what KEEPS POPPING UP every 10 seconds.
It seems like its prompting me for something but I dont see anything on the windows that needs an "action" taken ...

Okay I humored it and clicked "Next" to create a profile. For some reason going through that process has stopped the stealing focus problem. What an annoyance. I have no idea what I just did or why I even needed to set up a profile. Let alone why it was having temper tantrums until I did . !!
