I have Lenovos and whenever I get a new computer I always tend to reformat the HD, and reinstall the OS from scratch along the drivers that I need. That get rids of the clutter and many programs that come pre-installed on the computer, many of which I don't care about.

However when I got my new Z2 machine I found out that it may not have that many junk software installed and it seems that I can just install from the control panel stuff that I have no use of.

So should I perform a clean install or not ?

Also since I want to get rid of the RAID 0 I would have to reinstall Windows 7 anyway from scratch :(. Does Sony provide all downloadble drivers and their software?

I left my system as it it since I find it super fast anyways.
If you break the RAID, you will need to reinstall windows.

In the past I also started from scratch. This time I left the preinstalled OS alone. I did remove all unnessery software.

The raid 0 configuration is so incredible fast, I would leave it alone.

All the sony drivers are available. With previous models the install order of the sony drivers and sony software was very important. So look for a clean install guide for the vaio z2 if you want to do a clean install.

I am still on testing configurations, but I have made image of a disc the moment I first opened it, so I'm preparing to go back to factory state, deinstall crapware starting with McAffe and leaving much of Sony software installed, but dormant. Also I disabled few services according to blackviper guides. And I'm happy with the performance :)

I'm sticking with the Sony build. For reasons I don't understand, the Sony build boots faster.
