    Hi All,

Recently got the z21 and was loving it, but I recently purchased an Upgrade disc from my University for 64bit ultimate. I figured I would follow the order of driver installation shown in this post ( http://forum.notebookreview.com/7921009-post2.html) with but changing the model number.

When I try to install the first motherboard driver, I get a message that says something like "this update is not intended for use on your model." I'm talking with the online Sony support but am seconds away from throwing my netbook against the wall (very unhelpful). He suggested I try the "Sony Shared Library" first, but I receive the same message.

Can anybody help me out? I have no idea what to do!

those drivers were for 2 190x model. You have 2 290x, so some drivers may not work due to reasons stated above.

    Use this link:

    Cheers,

Problem fixed. I had corrected for the different model number when I encountered the problem. I did the obvious and tried a restart and it worked. So, for future reference, if you're having trouble installing the drivers after a clean install, just restart. Go figure.
