I experience a small, but very strange problem with my Vaio Z21:

On the Login-Screen of Vista, I am not able to type country specific charcters. Example: My password is ttt@eee, I am not able to type th '@' sign because it is located at a different key than with a original english keyboard.

Once I am logged in, I do not have any problems. What could be the issue here?

Vista is configured to use a german style keyboard. However that driver seems not to load until I am loged in with Vista.

For me there is a button near the bottom right where you can choose what language keys are used to enter into log in, but mine doesnt switch languages at log in, sometimes it switches languages as tab through my open programs.
Very strange problem, also look at your keyboard language settings, I have turned off the keystroke combination that switches languages completely. Maybe your password is part of that key stroke combination that switches it automatically.

Thanks mate. I eventually upgraded to Vista Ultimate and it solved my problem. :)
