I just purchased the pre-configured Z555. So I was wondering what the difference in resolution is between the 3, whats better and why?

p.s, I'm noob with this resolution stuff, so please be kind and simple :)

    thanks in advance.

There is no bad one. Reports so far suggest they are the same quality screen, only with a different resolution. 1600x900 vs 1366x768. It's a matter of taste as to which one suits you. The 1600x900 resolution offers plenty of screen real estate, i.e., plenty of room for multiple windows. However, everything, including text, is smaller than it would be on the 1366x768 screen. Do you plan on doing any gaming with the system?

a bit, not too much though. I mean I probably will play some CS and SC2, maybe some guild wars but not much, light gaming.

Also, I think I prefer the smaller text and more real-estate :( darn it!

I think you bought the perfect resolution ... much better for the eyes, less strain for sure ... unless you're gaming/watching movies 80% of the time or more then people should be choosing a screen res that provides for a better/larger font size ... imo and experience :)

did you order your Z from Sony Canada online? I'm hoping our local Sony Store gets them this Friday?

I'm interested in the 555 ... may even return my LG P300 to get it

yeah I had ordered the Z540 configured, but they called me today saying there was a mistake and the ship date is pushed to september 5th. So I told him to cancel the order, and as soon as I said that I saw on their website (sony style canada) the pre-config Z555, which was more bang for the buck. So I told him to make me a bill for that.

I also used the 5% off products 799.99 or more, and got 100$ off. And the ship date for the Z555 is ealier, they said around the 28th-29th it should be shipped.
