Hi:
I installed Windows7 64bit on my Sony z590 (it use to have Vista 32bit) and I recently found out that I cannot output vido on my HDMI port. I suspected it was the video card and have worked out that I'm actually only running the Intel video card that is built in and not the NVidia graphics card (which windows doesn't see - or perhaps it does - I looked at my hardware and I have two "faults", one is the VGA driver and the other is Base Hardware which isn't too descriptive).
Looking at NVidia they provide no support. Looking at Sony they don't list any video card drivers for Windows 7 64 bit. I tried installing some of their software (e.g. hardware diags tool) and it tells me it only runs on Vista (despite using their filters on their website to get only Windows 7 64 bit software - and the limited description says it's for Windows 7 64bit). Since they sell this laptop now with Windows 7 64bit I assume they have drivers for everything now. Is the Canadian site just a mirror of the US site (I was using the Canadian site)?
So does anyone have any ideas or run across the same problem? Any help would be apprecaited.
Thanx
