I am new to sony laptops and just want to seek out opinions and suggestions with the wise people in here. Recently, I just order a vaio SR laptop from Sony but now I'm having second thoughts about what I can do.

    1. Cancel that order and order a Z590 CTO instead, but no blu ray drive and set the memory and CPU to the max which is around $2000. My concern with this option is the quality of the webcam being only 0.3 megapixel and also if it's worth the wait to upgrade the blu ray burner later down the road or pay the extra $500 now?

2.Keep my order with the SR290 CTO which would have everything set to the best including the blu ray drive for $1800.

    3. Cancel that order immediately and wait for a better deal to open up in January (cause I missed out on the black friday coupons). So based on your experiences around the world of technology gadgets, do you think sony or other stores are likely to have a better or good deal in later december or January either for the SR290 or Z590?

I'd really appreciate any inputs from you guys =)

Stay with what you have. The Z is nice, but it's not $700 ($200 difference + $500 for blu-ray later) better in my opinion.

As for ordering either one later, there will be better deal inevitably. There always are, as long as you buy technology it'll be a worse value than another item normally a month later.
