    ? My z690CTO is on it's way and I purchased a SONY 3 years extended warranty.Now if I do decide to upgrade myself let's say the HDD will this
    void the warranty or not?

    no... and even if it did, why does it matter? if you want to send it back, just put the old hdd back in

    If you have to open the computer itself, it will void the warranty. But as stated already, just put your old HDD back into place when you send it back and they won't even know. What they don't know won't hurt them.
