This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Z690 upgrade to Win 7 issues

    My vaio Z690 came preinstalled with Win vista home 64 bit. I recently upgraded to win 7 professional 64 bit version. I followed the drivers and software per sonys update page, but still have several issues.

    1) I did upgrade the bios
    2) Speed stamina switch doesn't work. Device manager shows both cards - but speed/stamina still doesnt work
    3) Several of the files downloaded from the esupport section run but dont install. Not sure why this is happening and what installs and what doesnt is random.

    Appreciate any help to this.
