This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Z720 hardware wifi switch is "off", any way to bypass it?

    My Z720 had intermittent problems loosing wifi adapter in device manager, now smartWi utility says hardware wifi switch is "off" even when its actually on and bluetooth which is controlled by same switch has disappeared too. I tried reinstalling wifi and bluetooth driver with no improvement.

    Is there any way to bypass the switch with keyboard buttons or registry edit?
