    Hello all,

I have been doing mad research on the sleeve I'd like to protect my Z11. Due to its irregular size, this has been difficult. I really like the ZeroShock cases but not sold on the ZS III 13.3 fit.

Has anyone tried fitting their Z inside a ZeroShock IV 12.1 case? The new IV series seems to have extra internal space so I was just curious. The measurements seem to point to a nice snug fit. My only concern is the Z has a width of 12.4 inches and the internal compartment of the ZSIV 12.1 is 12.2 inches. Do the width of the ZSIV cases have any stretch to them? I hate to order something and return it, so thanks for everyone's help and input.

Ok well that is what I have done since between the time of my first post and my bump...did not find the answer to my question. Thanks for trying though. I was hoping someone in Japan, where they sell the ZeroShocks in stores, could tell me of their experience in trying to fit a Z in a ZS IV 12.1 case.

    Hey
Did you get the Zeroshock IV in the end?
I'm thinking about upgrading to either the Zeroshock IV (12.1) or the Zeroshock III (13.3). On the gearzap website the specs show that the Z should be able to fit after stretching it a bit (Z is 31.5 cm wide while the case is 31cm). I think it would work since it has additional space because of the external dimensions.
Anyways let me know if it works xD
    Thanks

If you're looking for a case that contains memory foam and has the exact fit of the Vaio Z then check the CaseCrown memory foam case for z11

    link

I have it. It fits perfectly. does not have room to move at all.

Great quality. Not some cheap brand.

After some initial doubts about my SZ III, I'm sold on it. I've been using it for the last few months. It is a little loose but by it's design, the machine doesn't really slid around much if any. My Z11 doesn't have a mark on it. I do miss being able to slid it in and out just by opening up one end of it like I could with my STM. I know some people do, but that just seems to be asking for some scratches due to the exposed zipper and the tight fit. I unzip mine all the way.

For me, i'm just thinking of picking up a stronger and sturdier case to protect the fragile screen as i'm a student (heavy textbooks?). I noticed some bruising on my screen so i'm going to get it replace/repaired since i'm still under warranty. This would be my second screen problem in 5 months since getting the laptop...
I'm leaning towards getting the ZS IV since it has more shock-absorbing innovation but i don't know if it'll fit. The ZS III sounds like a solid choice too and it looks better.
@travfar: You said your Z11 is a bit loose in it? Do you mean side to side movement loose or just depth?

    thanks for the responses

I mean it's a bit big for the Z11. It doesn't really slide around that much. I kind of appreciate it since the zippers on the ZeroShocks are exposed.
