    a Vaio under US$1000?

    i'm considering to buy a Vaio, but my budget is only under $1000, what is the best one ?

    The only one is the NR. There are much better laptops to be bought for the same price. Dell Vostro 1500.

    yeah, i think so, Sony Vaio is damn Expensive...
    But i love the desigh... hix hix...
    and about the Nr, are there any cons? or mistakes...

    Thats ok, anyway they may look good, but they are not that special on the inside. The Nr is basically an upgrade to santa rosa(the new laptop platform). Really just buy the dell vostro.

    If your set on a vaio I just bought a vgn-n365 e/b for $700u.s. and I really like it. With a semi-clean install of vista to clean the bloatware and a couple other tweaks it runs awesome. Boots vista in 1:11. I don't play games on it so can't say much about that other than the lack of a actual good video card is it's weak point.
