    hi
    I have a PCG-GRX3P. It has pentium 4 1.6ghz and original 256 X 2 DDR-SDRAM memory cards. When i power up the laptop only 256MB are detected.
i tried to remove one DDR and still got 256 RAM. i took this one out, and put the other one in the second slot, again the laptop announced it has 256 ram. that means both SDRAMs are OK and so are the slots.
any suggestions what might cause that behavior?
    many thanks in advance.
