    planing on upgrading the memory on this little fellow but unfortunately it seems to only have ONE memory slot. Can anyone confirm if there is another slot on it ? Also what is the maximum memory you can install on it ? 2/4 gb ?

    i'm not sure about your laptop, but some laptop have another slot for ram under keyboard.

    thank you Rachel, I did not know that as it's the 1st vaio i'm using more extensively (it actually belongs to my sis) I looked on the back of it and that's the only model number, could you tell me where's the one you're talking about ?

    the model is a VPCM12m1el and there are 2 more screws under the front end of the battery (close to where the locking mechanism of the battery is located) underneath 2 small pieces of tape which you have to remove. I don't know if that voids the warranty or not although it doesn't say anything about it.
