Okay, I'm tired of waiting on perfect SZ, I really want the better keyboard, easier upgradeable chassis, along with 9 series gpu. But I thought this deal was pretty sweet here and considering picking one up

But I'm still in a little dilemma between the SZ770 with T9300 instead for about $400 more plus a little bigger hardrive.

So as far as battery life and heat is concern, is the T9300 worth it over the T7700? Anyone have used both that can give me some feedback? I know 45nm does use less vcore on desktop (I'm running E8400) but the problem is you can't take advantage of the bios to set it lower than it actually needs on a labtop. Any help would be great, thanks! :)

For $400, I'd certainly go with the one you linked to. The T7700 is only 100 MHz less than the T9300, and still has 4 MB of L2 cache - which in practice is plenty, especially as the performance increase from more L2 cache levels out after awhile - there's less benefit from 4 MB to 6 MB than from 2 MB to 4 MB. From reviews I've read, Penryn only saves a few minutes in battery life in most configurations - certainly not enough to justify $400, even with a slightly larger hard drive.

If it's betwee the one you linked to and the SZ770, I'd say go for the one you linked to.
