I ordered an fe790 on Monday. The expected ship date was the 27th according to the email from sonystyle. At first i thought... Here we go.... The order took a full two days to process.
Then magical things happened.
Thursday mourning i check my email, i see in production. I say to myself... FINALLY!!!
After a long day's worth of work at radio shack i come home to check my email.... and my jaw dropped.... I saw an email from sonystyle saying shipping confirmation.... WOW.... But thats not all....
I go to the link to track my shipment on fedex's website.... and I see Shiping Method: overnight..................... (ofcourse i chose the free method at time of purchase)
expected ship date: dec 22 3:00pm...
and no... im not a long tim costumer of sonystyle.... this was my first purchase ever from ther website.... So props to them....
btw, any place to send positive feedback to them?

Actually one time I had to talk with a Sony Tech help and was surprised.
It did not take long for me to connect with a live person (about 1 min.) And the tech was very helpful and patient.
So that being said I had good results with them. Also after my chat on the phone I received a follow up e-mail asking about my experience. -

Whenever I've called into Sony Service, I've gotten incredibly fast responses (I don't remember ever being on hold waiting for an agent), very fast to-and-fro shippings back-and-forth to service centers, etc etc etc.
I had a bit of bad luck with actually getting my issues fixed --- or at least identified as unfixable design flaws --- but, in the end, I've been very happy with how Sony has treated me. I was unhappy with two different laptops, and they offered me exchanges on BOTH (eventually).
So yeah, I don't have any complaints about Sony Customer service either. At least none that I wouldn't receive with any (computer-related or otherwise) customer service teams.
and i thought sonystyle service was horrible...
