    annoying fan noise

    hi guys,

    I have one month old sz 360 P/c. here 2 I times posted about noise from hard disk. When I called sony, they asked to send it for service.

    But now notice new problem. It seems fan noise is unusual. It runs continuosly when it is set in queit mode. It is like small compresseor running. I cheked my friends dell laptops but they do not make any noise.

    I want to know ur opinions. Is this normal for sz?

    a dirty fan spins faster. have you tried cleaning it? my sz320P/B is barely noticeable at idle + stamina mode.

    I opened mine after about 1 month when I was replacing thermal compund for AS5, my SZ rested most of the time on wooden table, we dinner on (seems to be clean :)) you should have seen what was on and around fan wings and heat pipe outlet !!!
