    Hello there,

I own a Vaio VPCCW1s1E, and lately I noticed a weird flashing window in the taskbar that opens and closes so quickly that i couldn't tell what it's about.

The annoying thing about it is whenever it flashes (and it's about or exactly every 1 minute), if i play a game, it will minimize and i have to maximize it again manually. If i type in a live chat, i have to replace the cursor there.

SO.... I searched for any weird processes in windows task manager, found none.

I thought . I'll keep pressing print-screen until i "capture" the flashing icon. And at last after alot of attempts, the flashing icon is the DEVICES AND PRINTERS icon!....but i only managed to capture the icon, no notice can be seen.

I went at the devices and printers, but i have no printers installed or any other devices...

Any thoughts how i can solve this flashing notice??

You should at least be seeing an icon for your VAIO under devices. How have you installed Windows? Clean install or from the recovery partition? Maybe you left something out or uninstalled something.

its the windows 7 the laptop came with, and the problem wasn't there from the beginning, it just started "randomly".

When the problem wasn't there, how many icons did you have in 'printers and other devices'?

There's a windows option to control what programs can display icons and notifications in the notification bar. Just disable everything you don't need.
