I'm reconsidering Sony laptops again since Dell XPS M1330 estimated ship dates are so horrendous (mid to late August). Some of my requirements include a 13.3" or smaller screen, small, light, 7200 rpm hard drive, discrete graphics (no Intel junk), Santa Rosa chipset and 2 ghz Core 2 Duo.

In terms of size, the SZ and C series seem to fit the bill. When I go to http://www.sonystyle.com/webapp/wcs...false&storeId=10151&catalogId=10551&langId=-1 (Advisor Tool), there are 0 notebooks w/7200 rpm drives. Is this is in error or is this just simply unavailable w/Sony laptops?

I glanced thru some of the marketing on Sony Style and I'm blown away that they'd say "It also boasts hardware solutions that will power you through your most demanding tasks, including a super-fast 4200rpm Serial ATA hard drive" (example at http://www.sonystyle.com/webapp/wcs...1&storeId=10151&langId=-1&productId=11040309). I'm not sure who they're trying to kid.

I bought an FZ190 and took out the 5400rpm drive for a seagate momentus 7200.2 drive. Its easy to do and worth the money. You can always use the old drive externally.
