    Hi there,

I would like to purchase an AR61M but I searched the web
for reviews or user experiences but I didn't find anything
    useful...

Does anybody here own an AR61M? I would like to know
if it takes care of its heat in warm environments and most
of all, if it's a reliable system... Also the specs say the CPU
    has 2MB cash but that isn't possible on a T7500 CPU, I
    verified that with intel...

If I get one I will replace the harddisk with a 5400 RPM
disk and downgrade it to XP...

I hope there's someone here who can give me some more
    info on this model...

    Thanks in advance!

    FliP

It's a similar model to mine, and mine keeps extremely cool campared to other notebooks.

And the T7500 has 4mb L2 cache

Is ther a chance to put XP drivers on VAIO AR models? I' ve US version AR-720E which is every close to AR61M in specs.

Yes of course, but there could be compatibility issues with sony specific hardware such as the webcam and function buttons. I've seen people posting here with such problems but i'm not sure if a solution was found.

Also with the ar61m you could probably add a second hard drive as mine has two slots, and leave vista on one and install xp on the other... or however you like :D
