    are all the SZ780 models (N1, N2, N3, N4, N5, N6, so on) all made in Japan?
I am about to pull the trigger on one of these SZ780 models, and just want to make sure they are made in Japan before I buy them. Thank you.

BTW, just returned my M1530 today - what a horribly and poorly built machine compared to my old SZ and S type notebooks. Thought I tried something else and there I went into a nightmare, trying to deal with the poorly built machine and half-assed Dell customer service.

SZ780 are "Assembled in U.S.A. with domestic and/or foreign components" if bought in the US.

man.... this is getting complicated. I thought all SZ series used to be made in Japan. Back in the type S days (the predecessor of SZ), everything was made in Japan.

Pre-configured models such as SZ750, SZ770, SZ691 are "Made In Japan."
Customized models such as SZ780 are "Assembled in U.S.A. with domestic and/or foreign components" if purchased in the US market.
