    Hello,

I have recently purchased Sony Vaio FW510F which comes with ATI Radeon 4650 and I am running on original drivers that came with it (Catalyst 8.633) and I also don't have support for ATI Stream. I have searched a bit on this topic and from what I understand is that ATI Stream option should be present in the basic control panel of Catalyst Control Center but it is not there. Can someone please point me to correct drivers? I have contacted Sony about it, they gave me a link to their website to their latest 4570 drivers but this does not seem to help.

    Thanks.

I did some research on this and apparently ATI didn't include Avivo Video Encoder for Vista 64 and Windows 7 Catalyst drivers. I am guessing that it is something that will become available shortly, new operating systems usually require driver rewrites and Window 7 doesn't even have a release candidate Catalyst drivers yet, all thats available are BETA only.

How did you install Catalyst 9.11 on your Sony FW? I downloaded 9.11 from ATIs website and installed it but after the reboot it still shows driver version 8.633 :S

    go to
    http://www.driverheaven.net/modtool.php
and download the mobility modder tool and follow the instructions.you should be fine.100%working without problems.additional resolutions such as 1280.768 and many more intermediate resolutions will be unlocked.and on seperate note even when i downloaded the optional avivo video converter utility the catalsyt install manager does not recognize the tool( note that avivo video convertor is listed under optional components for catalyst and does not come with the catalyst full suite).

Has anyone gotten this to work yet? I haven't been able to yet, however I'm still running the beta version of Windows 7. I haven't gotten around to installing the full version yet. I'd really like to have AVIVO working!

If you're still on the Beta of Win7, you know your notebook will start shutting down every 2hrs starting in march?

Yes, I'm aware of that. I have my official Windows 7 disc sitting on my desk, it's just a question of getting my laptop away from my fiancé long enough to re-install everything.

That's not the question though. I still can't find anyone that's gotten ATi Stream to work, even though it's suppose to be supported.

Hey I've discovered that the prerelease 10.3 drivers enables AVIVO fuctions including ATi Stream!

The built in converter doesn't seem to work, but Mediashow Espresso is working with it.
