Battery left in computer goes flat in less than 5 days if it is not removed. using 80% charge settings. If removed it holds charge ok after 12 days 75%left.Spoken to Sony and they say that is normal. Is it?

That's what they'll say but it's nonsense. You want to calibrate your battery first to make sure the reading is accurate. We went through this two years ago with F owners and I'll point you the way but you'll have to do some searching yourself.
