battery on the TZ

Hi all,

Just brought my tz16gn/b 3 weeks ago. I love everything about it but since i purchased it my battery only charges to 80% and this week its only charging to 75%. I tried to recalibrate it in bios but there doesn't seem to be an option.
Have i got a dud battery or am i missing something?

I noticed that my TZ had an app called Battery Care. When running it can vary the amount of charge that the battery receives. The idea is that if you don't use the battery much the machine will not fully charge the battery. This will extend the life of the battery. I would check to make sure that isn't running. If not you might have a bad battery.

Is it really necessary to have it at 80%?

 

I would leave it on, unless you are planning on taking an extended trip and need the extra battery charge.

 

Is there still a way to re-calibrate the battery through the bios? I cant seem to fond that function on the TZ?

 

Where can I download the battery care software? Can't seem to find it anywhere

 

It comes standard with the tz, have you reinstalled the os since you purchased it?

 

NODDY43, I reinstalled my os and I do not have that program. I even search esupport.sony.com and couldn't find it. do you know where I can find it?

 

try the original utilities package from this link. not sure which model tz you have but hunt around that site.
