All of a sudden my notebook no longer lies flush on the surface that it is sitting on. The front right corner lifts a few centimeters off the surface making for a wobbly computer. I have no clue what caused this and can't seem to figure out how to straighten it back out.
Anyone have any suggestions or experience with this?

Is the notebook casing metal? If it is, the theory you presented in your subject line could well be true. Otherwise, look at the bottom of the notebook and see if any of the rubber feet are missing or off-center.

Generally the only thing that could cause a metal casing to be bent would be some kind of blunt trauma, unless you've got some SERIOUS overheating problems
. Plastic is a little more malleable under heavy heat, but it still takes more than any component should actually be putting out. I wouldn't suggest trying to bend it back into shape, though, since impact (for metal) or heat (for plastic) are both very negative for the notebook.
Check the rubber feet one more time and make sure one or two are not slightly off-center. Sometimes there are grooved areas where the rubber feet actually sit, so if one of the feet has gone off-center, it could give you that centimeter of wiggle-room you mentioned.
bent casing?
