best way to buy this

So basically I have decided which laptop I am going to get.

I have 3 options to purchase it and wondering which would be the best

laptop of choice
sony sz 230pb

a) buy it from sony website 2099 free shipping and then supposedly I can call them and buy vaio waranty for around 250 (this is accidental damage for 2 years I think)

b)buy it from circuit city and get
2099 lap top - 200 mail-in rebate (I don't really like mail-in rebates) + 350 for circuit city accidental damage for 2 years + free bag

c) buy it from frys for 1849 and then buy the warranty through sony like in option a since frys does not offer accidental damage.

So basically I am asking people that have had either experience with sony acc damage or circuit city acc damage or just in-general the best way to purchase this machine. Thank you and I need to decide by tommorow so any advice will help and be appreciated. Or any advice on how you purchased it or dealt with waranty.

Buy from Portable One instead. I believe it's the most frequently recommended reseller from this site. It's prices and customer service are totally superior to that of Sony's.

Customize the way you want (this includes accidental coverage). Paying with American Express will get you another year in addition to the standard one.

By the way, I purchased the 2,099 Premium model. No tax, free shipping.

 

i was looking on portable one and is it okay to get a non-premium model? I know I have read all the differences posts. I am a student I dont think I really care about getting premium and wondering which I should do. I didnt consider non-premium before, but after seeing on portable one I might do just that.
