From the backup you should have made before tinkering. This might help however...

That is why I hate doing too many BIOS updates. If they (all companies) can make application updates so easy, why can't they make BIOS updates to be easy too? Anyway :)

The chances are you will need to return that to the store or Sony themselves and ask for a BIOS reset. You should be covered under warranty since you didn't do anything wrong, assuming you left the thing alone while it was trying to upgrade the BIOS (but Sony don't know that...). They should reset the thing for free under warranty.

If I remember correctly, they can reset the BIOS if people forget the boot password or tinker with the cpu clock settings; it just costs a horrendous amount. Though the cpu clock issue I think can be solved by removing the CMOS battery for 5 minutes and putting it back in, depending on the mobo. BIOS firmware updates... Not too sure...

A lesson to learn though. If it works, and it works without causing you problems, then don't upgrade. Period. People are always into the latest and greatest only to suffer when their expensive 'latest and greatest' starts giving up the ghost prematurely (as newly release tech these days tend to do)...
