Quick question for those of you that have jumped over to Vista on your SZs ---- are you having luck connecting to bluetooth devices?

I just tried to get my mobile phone to connect to my computer. The first time I searched for a connection, my phone appeared under the devices detected window, but my computer wasn't able to connect. Upon subsequent re-tries, the SZ hasn't been able to detect the phone at all.

Just curious if anyone else has done this ----- either under xp or vista. I'll freely admit that I'm brand new to the bluetooth world.

Sending and receiving files from / to my Nokia N70 phone works but having problems connecting it via the Suite - the Bluetooth won't connect then. So semi-works.

I have a LG8700, and can't seem to get file transfer (pics, etc) working. I can transfer vcards fine ----- but images won't go so far. The LG8700 is capable of FTP transfers, but I can't seem to get it to transfer images. Suggestions?

from what i'm seeing, i think it's the phone or maybe the BT driver. i have no problems connecting my N91 8GB with my Vista. As well as with SE K800i. Both functions normally. have you tried updating your bluetooth driver.

The only place I could think of to update the bluetooth driver is the sony website. I've tried doing that with no other results.

Well --- I got my SZ and phone to work together -- sort of! I'm able to navigate to my phone's folders via windows explorer (through the Bluetooth information exchanger) and can grab all the pics and videos off my phone through there. I still can't get my phone to send images directly to the computer.. but this is working just as good.

    Anyway, I'm happy. :)

It won't let me connect when I use the Wizard - it detects my phone but just gives me the option to set it up as an external Modem!! :(

That's what it does for me too. You can also do a "custom" detection of your phone and set up a serial connection to it.

Like I mentioned, the way I've been able to access the files on my phone (which does have FTP capability enabled via Bluetooth) is to go through Computer -> Bluetooth Information Exchanger -> LG8700 (my phone) in the Vista browsers. Trying to access things directly through the Bluetooth suite software doesn't do much for me. :)

I don't have that option inside my Computer folder though? It's not showing any Bluetooth option - I can open that Information Exchange thing - but its that weird application that isn't the Vista Browser you're talking about.
