    Hi Sir,
    I Am New in forum, please help me.

    i have sony vaio VGN-Cr320E
    i was having windows vista in my laptop, but later i install xp on it,

    i dont have any recovery disc or company disc, now i want to get back orignal vista of my laptop.

    ( i am using xp)

    can i get back my orignal vista ?

    please help.

    If you haven't deleted the recovery partition on your HDD, everything should still be there. I'm sure someone has figured out a way to do a system recovery from there.

    just press the assist key to boot up... well on new vaios, not sure about the CR series...

    Does that work if you formatted the C partition? He would have had to do that when he installed XP.

    I have backed up my VAIO RECOVERY folder, the intention being that if I format my C drive and do a clean install (not using VAIO recovery), then I can copy that folder back and would be able to run VAIO Recovery Center and install drivers and apps as needed, and indeed even do a regular system recovery if my efforts don't work out. However, mine is Win 7 x64, so won't work for the OP. If someone has the folder for Vista...
