    can't burn dvds in sz

    hey guys, i have a problem trying to create dvds on my sz. whenever i try to save anything in a dvd, it just refuses either stating that there was an error in the process or that it's not a writab;e cd or it's full. i even tried erasing the newly bought dvds... nothing. what could be wrong? i need this thing to work ASAP =(

    oh another thing that may be useful, there doesn't seem to be any problems with cd-rws. i can move video files around just fine.

    which program are you using?

    nero? windows burning thingy? roxio?

    Windows XP supports CD burning, but does not support DVD burning. In order to burn DVD's you will need to use the DVD burning software like Nero, Sonic, Roxio.

    Yup. I just figured this out when I tried to back up my files by dragging them over to an "add to cd" folder in XP --- wouldn't work.

    The Sony Backup Utility worked fine though.
