    Hi

On my recently purchased FZ31S, i've noticed that after you adjust the screen brightness using Fn+F5/F6, the setting is lost after you reboot the notebook, it goes back to the maximum which is too bright for me  How do you set the screen brightness permanently? I've tried going to NVIDIA CONTROL PANEL > ADJUST DESKTOP COLOUR SETTINGS > BRIGHTNESS but that doesn't have much of an effect on the brightness as opposed to using Fn key.

    Thanks :)

Check power setting. Right click the battery icon down in the "Notification area" aka "System tray". The setting you seek is there.

It still irritates me slightly that your chosen power setting isn't a bios thing... so you get blinded by full brightness during bootup and only once you're in Windows does your selected brightness get applied. Ah well!
