    Previous vaio s series used 915 PM chipset where as the new vaio s series (eg:- s470,460,etc) uses 915 GM chipset . So I want to know which one is better ?

    The difference between 915 PM & GM (I am not sure which one is which) is that one is designed to work with a dedicated video card while the other has the Intel integrated video chip. They are the same otherwise.

    Actually, the previous VAIO S series used the 855 chipset, because the ATI 9700 video card is AGP only and the 915 chipset only supports PCI Express video cards.
