    Hi

I have done a clean Windows 7 instal on my VGN-NR38S laptop.

I followed Coolguys, very useful, Clean Instal guide for theVAIO FZ and the clean instal for the VGN-NR380E/S guide, downloaded from the United States Sony site. The Europe site is not particularly good for downloads.

All went remarkably well and I now have a working system.

However, I cannot get theFn-F5/F6 (brightness control) or the Zoom controls to work and the VAIO Launcher set-up screen appears in Japanese sceript.

Can anyone offer a solution to the above?

Do your volume keys, Fn+F2,3&4 work? Have you installed VAIO Care and then VAIO Event Service? VES is necessary to have some of the VAIO button functions.
