I have both a vaio FS and a vaio SZ , which have no S video outputs as you know, but only VGA outputs. I want to hook it up to my tv(which has only RCA ,no s video), and i Know that usually i can go on ebay and find vga to rca converters, that is for all laptops other than vaio. I noticed that on our vaios the vga output doesn't quite match that of the converters i found on ebay, since it doesn't have space for those 2 screws around the vga port, and i've read on wikipedia that sony vaio's vga outputs ARE slightly different.

So does anyone know what I should be using to connect my vaios to my tv? And where I can find it? Thank you!

there are no different connections on VGA out.

Sony would be shooting them selves in the foot if they did that.

my hp is the same it doesnt have the screw holes in the side to screw into.

Now weather this will allow you to connect upto your tv i cannot say. A VGA out is a VGA out. There are no differences in the way their wired up.

Its an industry standard. I have never heard of a vga out to rca cable before though.
