Trying to lower the voltage on my s480 its a dothan 1.73(5)? ghz. I get 50-55 c on idle and the fan drives me crazy, i already did arctic silver, im using that notebook monitor thingy where you can adjust voltage and can set the max fsb steppings. I have 13 steps for the voltages, want to be able to at least web browse or watch a dvd mpeg without the fan going off, or at least stay on at a steady #2-3 fan speed.

Is there a way to keep the fan on a medium speed, not the highest without having it stop just to restart again. The fan seems to go off at 55c, so my best bet is to keep the cpu under 55c? seems that even web browsing causes it to go up to 55c even.
