cs 1.6 freezes in sony sz6

hey, i was wondering if you guys could help me out.i have a sony sz680 and i thought it would be able to play cs 1.6, im playing at the lowest possible setting and when i start the game it freezes, i can move the mouse around but i cnt press the OK button to start the game, it just freezes forever and i have to open the task manager to end the program..and it happens everytime. here are my specs : 2.2ghz, 2gb ram, 200gb 7200rpm.
note: even if i play with one bot it still freezes in the same point, i have tried uninstalling and re-installing but same problem.

cn anybody suggest solutions ? as im sure this laptop can play it smoothly. thanks in advance

oh ok, thanks. im about to download the driver 169.17, does it apply to the 8400 GS?

 

You have the 8400m GS not the 8400 GS, they are different.

sorry you are right, my mistake. thanks for the link, i downloaded and installed the driver but no luck, it actually worked once but after i tried lter again it just froze again. I guess im not gunna be playing then. I will later download the sony driver from their website to see how it turns out.
