Hi guys, I don't have any technical problem with my laptop
Its just i am trying to customize my desktop in a way that the background pictures can alternate by themselves. How would or can I do that? To confirm, I am not talking about the screen saver.

I'm pretty sure the desktop background can't be animated...I'm pretty sure it doesn't support .GIFs which are the only files that can "animate".

Windows Vista Ultimate has a feature called Dreamscene that allows for animated backgrounds, like a flowing waterfall, etc. That's probably the closest you can get to having an animated background. I heard there's also another way to get a feature similar to Dreamscene but I can't remember what it was.

By the way, this thread should've been posted in the Windows OS & Software forum, you'll get more replies related to this subject there.

Actually SAM once I put a Gif while I was using win 98, it worked but sucked all my ram so I learned by experience that is was not such a wise idea :) I haven't tried that in XP though.

You can use a wallpaper changer appliacation to change your wallpaper in intervals you decide. I can suggest xp manager software which has may optimization tools and a nice wallpaper changer.

You make up your wallpapers of what every pictures or designs you want and the program rotates them.
