ok...is it just me or does something look odd with the TZ notebook prices at sonystyle?

i check the prices on a daily basis to see if any new deals have pooped up. today, i get on and for the TZ150, it lists the price as $2099. but it also says, "Save $100 instantly. Original price $2,199.99".

i swear the price was the same ($2099) yesterday, and the "Save $100 instantly..." was not there yesterday. in fact, it looks like all the prices are the same as yesterday, but there are more "Save $X instantly..." today. i'm just sayin'.

    anyone else notice this?

I did notice something "fishy" looking at the SZ prices just now. I think they have that added in for them too.

Whether this breaks the law or not depends how Sony is doing this.

They're allowed to raise or lower prices and then give out "discounts", but they're not allowed to call it a "Sale" for more than a month if the price remains the same.

i'm not saying sonystyle is breaking the law or anything. i just found it amusing that they would claim someone is saving $100.

oh well. either way, it doesn't mean i won't be buying one of these beauties once i have enough pennies saved.

Oh, everyone does that, HP, Dell, Toshiba... If you visit their respective websites they all have "Save $XXX" on their computers.
