I just realized that the sony recovery partition uses up 8gb of space and was wondering if there is a way to delete and merge this partition to the primary partition? thanks in advance.

Deleting: yes, you can, with diskpart
Merging: I'm not sure, but I think you can't.

I've tried this. After I delete the partition, there's no option to merge it to an existing partition.

*Edit* Used easeus partition master and was able to merge the partition to the primary C: partition.
