    i have a i7 dual with 640M LE

I get very high dps in Diablo 3 ( 50 -100) but the game is not smooth at all, when my character is running the image is spiking a little.

there is a video on youtube of a 13inch vaio running D3 very smoothly even with 30-50 FPS....

I dont get it.. i have the newest driver...

    anyone experiencing the same thing?

    thanks for your inputs

No chance it's just lag? I have an earlier version of the S15 (SE) with Diablo 3 running at near max with no problems but it skips and jumps around occasionally due to lag on my end or theirs.

Other than that I have no idea.

I had the same thing with Metro 2033. It is because the cpu dynamically changes depending on load. So one moment it is at 2.9Ghz and the other moment on 3.4 or 3.6Ghz.
Go to advanced Energy settings in the control panel and lower the Max CPU to 95% when plugged in. Lag and stuttering gone. :)
