This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     disabling windows xp (media) single click

    i got windows xp media edition installed on my Fe.

    its really annoying that everything is single click and not double click when i want to open something.

    anyone know how to disable this??

    its driving me crazy

    go to the mouse options in the control panel and fix it from there

    i have already tried that. nothing there to turn it off

    Open a folder, click tools or folder options, then somewhere there is the option to change from single click and double click.

    EDIT: sorry for the shady info, I didn't bring my laptop to work plus my lab is just full of crapintosh.

    Just joking, I love Mac (^_^)

    Open folder > Folder Option> under the "General" tab, there is an option to "Click items as follows"

    I had this problem too, just decided to tackle the issue.

    Start > Settings > Control Panel

    Folder Options > General Tab > "Click Items As Follows"... change to Double-Click

    Enjoy
