This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    disappearing gadgets

    Just curious if anyone has any input on why gadgets disappear from my desktop at random, never to return until i put them back.

    I initially put weather and the resourse monitor on the desktop, after awhile I noticed the resource monitor gone. I put it back. Again, it disappeared after awhile, and a little while later the weather disappeared as well. Put both back and over the course of a couple days, both were gone again.

    This also happened once with Vaio Gate, but I just chaulked that up to it being closed inadvertantly when closing another program from the upper right hand corner.
