anyone got the sz series work with the sony docking station and an external dvi display in a way that it saves and recall resolution and dual display settings automatically?? all sony europe vista europe drivers/utilities for viao sz1vp installed, but everytime I dock the settings and displays get mixed up and everything has to be configured again (nvidia control panel + vista display settings). I also use ultramon, but when displays get completely mixed up it doesn't help a lot. I would be glad to find a solution to this!

I'm having this exact problem with the sz series and Windows XP. If anyone knows of a resolution, please post. This is extremely frustrating.

When I use the VGA from the laptop, I can get it to remember the correct settings.

When I plug the monitor into the vga port, and right-click on the desktop, it recognizes the external display and sets the external display to the last used resolution.

When I plug in the monitor and press fn+F7, the external monitor will always go to 1024x768.

Not sure if the docking station works the same way. This was also with the x3100, not 8400m
