    Hi guys i was wondering if there is any other option to the trademark sony vaio port replicator for the SZ, hoping for a more affordable alternative (its is AU$370) the main reason i want it is to connect a larger external DVI monitor (rather than VGA for quality reasons)


    any ideas or suggestions are much appreciated

    I haven't seen anyone else offering alterative port replicators in the market.

    This goes for Fujitsu computers as well.

    If you do find one, do share it with us because I'm sure a lot of the SZ owners here would love to get their hands on it too.

    yeah there are plenty of those, but i've yet to see a 3rd party dock that has DVI, which is why i ended up going for the sony one..

    I bought the SZ110 last week and purchased a refurb VGP-PRRSZ1 on ubid for $119+shipping. I am not sure about the answer to ur question but just thot of letting u know about the cheapest prices on those SZ docking stations. Refurbs on sony website sell for $149 and carry the same 90 day warranty. U might as well buy here and save 20 bucks! Here's the link:
