    does Vaio make noise?

    Hi, I'm planning to buy a VGN-F890 model
    If I upgrade to 15.4" WXGA TFT with XBRITE-HiColor Technology and automatically upgrade to GeForce Go 7600, then does that mean that my vaio is going to make whining noises? I heard Vaios are very quiet, but I was wondering because my current laptop with ATI Mobility Radeon X1600 makes the worst noise ever. That's the reason I'm planning on buying a Vaio.

    Does better graphics card make much noise difference to the noise of the Vaio?

    Also, if I order it on the 12th, the Monday, when will my laptop get here?
    I'm leaving overseas on the 28th night, so i'm sort of worried it will arrive after that. That is 13 business days. Is that risk worth taking?

    I wouldn't take that kind of risk if I were you. Besides, I would recommend a better and cheaper alternative. Just take your X1600 and underclock it a bit. It'll draw less power. You can try cleaning internal fans, perhaps that'll improve heat flow.

    Also, the FE's 7600go is underclocked and your X1600 actually runs faster than the 7600go. (the FE actually gives you only 128MB, not 256MB, inferiorating performance even more than just the underclock). Underclock the card and it should be less noisy.
