I remember reading in here somewhere that sony voids warranty if the computer has been "modified". I am getting tired of all the stupid bundle software and would like to do the semi-restore with recovery disks, but definitely dont want it to mess with my warranty.

    Anyone know?

    thanks.

No it will not void your warranty.

I can't see how that would void your warranty. You're not making any hardware changes/modifications.
